By using Apex Data Pro, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

1. Health and Fitness Data

Apex Data Pro focuses on local workout and nutrition tracking. We do not currently integrate with Apple HealthKit. Health and fitness data you enter (workouts, sets, reps, weights, and body measurements) are stored locally on your device and optionally in your personal iCloud backup.

2. Nutrition Data

We collect and store the following nutrition-related information:

  • Food items you log
  • Nutritional information (calories, macronutrients, vitamins, minerals)
  • Meal timings and custom recipes
  • Barcode scans for food identification

3. Workout and Exercise Data

We collect and store:

  • Workout plans and schedules
  • Exercise logs and progress
  • Custom exercises and routines
  • Progress tracking data (body measurements, fitness goals)

4. Device and Usage Information

We may automatically collect certain information about your device, including:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App usage statistics
  • Crash reports and error logs

5. Calendar Integration

If you choose to enable calendar integration, we may access your calendar to:

  • Sync scheduled workouts to your Apple Calendar or Google Calendar
  • Display workout schedules in your calendar app

Calendar access is optional and requires your explicit permission.

6. Camera and Photo Library

If you grant permission, we may access your camera and photo library to:

  • Take photos of nutrition labels for analysis
  • Select images from your photo library for nutrition label scanning

How We Store Your Data

Local Storage

Your data is primarily stored locally on your device in encrypted format. This includes:

  • Workout data
  • Nutrition logs
  • Progress tracking information
  • Custom foods and recipes

iCloud Backup

If you enable iCloud backup (optional feature), your data may be synced to your personal iCloud account. This backup is encrypted and managed by Apple's iCloud service. We do not have access to your iCloud data.

Important: Your health and fitness data remains on your device or in your personal iCloud account. We do not store your personal health data on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain the App's core functionality
  • Track your workouts, nutrition, and fitness progress
  • Generate analytics and progress reports
  • Sync data with calendar services (with your permission)
  • Improve the App's features and user experience
  • Respond to your support requests
  • Send you important updates about the App (if you opt in)

Third-Party Services

Apple HealthKit

Apex Data Pro does not currently integrate with Apple HealthKit. All workout and nutrition data stays on your device (and optionally in your iCloud backup) unless you choose to sync with calendar services.

Nutrition Data APIs

To provide nutrition information, we use third-party APIs:

  • FatSecret API: Used to search for food items and retrieve nutritional information. When you search for foods, your search queries may be sent to FatSecret's servers.
  • USDA FoodData Central (FDC) API: Used to access USDA nutrition databases. Search queries may be sent to FDC servers.

These services have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy practices.

Calendar Services

If you enable calendar integration, we interact with:

  • Apple Calendar: Data is managed by Apple and subject to Apple's privacy policies.
  • Google Calendar: Data is managed by Google and subject to Google's privacy policies.

Firebase Services

We may use Firebase services for:

  • Crash reporting and analytics
  • Cloud backup features (if enabled)

Firebase is operated by Google and subject to Google's privacy policies.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing (e.g., calendar integration)
  • Service Providers: With third-party services that help us operate the App (e.g., nutrition APIs, analytics services), subject to their privacy policies
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

  • Data is stored locally on your device in encrypted format
  • iCloud backups are encrypted by Apple
  • We use secure connections (HTTPS) when communicating with third-party APIs
  • We follow industry best practices for data protection

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: You can view all your data within the App
  • Delete: You can delete your data at any time through the App settings
  • Export: Premium users can export their data to CSV format
  • Revoke Permissions: You can revoke calendar or camera permissions at any time through your device settings
  • Disable iCloud Backup: You can disable iCloud backup in the App settings

Children's Privacy

Apex Data Pro is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
